Shoraka DV is the digital technology arm of Shoraka Group, founded in Dubai by a group of professionals with a business focus on financial advisory in the South East Asian and Middle East region. Since its inception, the group has expanded its business activities into construction, property, digital technology, education, and the energy industry.  

Kennlines is an Indonesian investment holding company focusing on infrastructure, enterprise, digital and advisory. It has defined its portfolio in aspects of contributing to the development of the national economy. 

This strategic partnership shows the dedication Shoraka DV has towards building on its expertise in digital technology industry. With Kennlines’ strong domestic networking, this strategic collaboration will be the vehicle for Shoraka DV in effectively providing digital solutions to suit the needs of the Indonesian community.  

At the ceremony, Mohd Hasnul Ismar bin Mohd Ismail, Founder of the Group said “This joint venture is a strategic collaboration with a strong partner that we have been working with for several in other aspects of Shoraka Group businesses. Given the unique fintech solutions offered by Shoraka DV and Kennlines’ strong local networking, we aim to leverage on each other’s strength to unlock market opportunities in Indonesia.” 

The solutions Shoraka DV are planning to bring to the Indonesia market are its Re-Rahnu Platform (Shoraka Suyula Platform), Invoice Factoring Platform (Shoraka QuickFactor) and Tawarruq Commodity Trading Platform (Shoraka Al-Amin) subject to necessary domestic approval. 

Johar Amat, Managing Director of SDV said, “Shoraka DV will work closely with our Indonesian counterpart to bring our solutions to the Indonesian market. We may modify the solutions to suit the local market." 

“We will improvise our systems according to the needs of our local partner and the local market in Indonesia” added Johar 

The signing ceremony was held in Jakarta, in attendance of Chairman of Kennlines Capital,Bpk Mirza Whibowo Soenarto, Co-Founders of Shoraka Group, Mohd Hasnul Ismar bin Mohd Ismail and Wan Ahmad Nazim bin Mohamed Noor together with Managing Director of Shoraka DV, Johar bin Amat.

Shoraka DV Expands its FIntech Business to Indonesia

KUALA LUMPUR: Shoraka Digital Ventures (“Shoraka DV”), the digital technology company focused on financial technology (Fintech) expands its fintech business to Indonesia by partnering with Indonesia’s PT Kennlines Capital (“Kennlines”). The partnership would mark the first international venture by Shoraka DV that would facilitate the offering of the locally developed fintech solutions to the regional market.

The strategic collaboration will enable recipients of the microcredit, most of whom are from the un-bankable B40 (underprivileged) group, to access financing in a Shariah-compliant manner, as currently enjoyed by the bankable groups.  

 

In a statement issued after the signing ceremony by the two parties in Kuala Lumpur, witnessed by the Chairman of the Executive Committee for Housing, Urban Wellbeing & Entrepreneur Development, YB Puan Rodziah Binti Ismail, Managing Director Johar Amat said this collaboration was an important milestone for the group, as it is in line with the Group’s aspiration to facilitate the expansion of Islamic financial offerings to all segments of the society, including those that are un-bankable.

Shoraka Digital Ventures and Yayasan Hijrah Selangor Ink Strategic Collaboration Deal

KUALA LUMPUR: Shoraka Digital Ventures (SDV) through one of their fintech solutions start-ups, Shoraka Global Resources Sdn Bhd (SGR), has signed a strategic collaboration with Yayasan Hijrah Selangor to facilitate the migration of the foundation’s conventional financial offerings to Shariah-compliant ones.

Securing this License is the first crucial step in the company’s journey in expanding into the region. Johar Amat, the Managing Director of Shoraka DV states that being present in one of most vibrant fintech hubs in the world would enable SSP, the fintech start-up operating a Re-Rahnu Platform, the opportunity to tap into the pool of global talents and the vast networking available at the DIFC Fintech Hive.

 “The license will be a step in the right direction for SSP to build on its journey beyond the SEA region and it marks a major milestone for SSP for its global expansion plan beyond its home-market” Johar added.

DIFC is the leading financial hub for the MEASA region, it has the DIFC Innovation Hub, which is the region’s first ecosystem dedicated to bringing the Fintech and innovation community together to shape the future of finance and the economy. The innovation license is the initiative of Dubai Future District under the DIFC to support innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship in the region.  

The official handover of the license was celebrated at the DIFC by both parties on 30 June.
